To revive, Palm Inc. will introduce its new mobile operating system, called Palm Nova. His first official presentation could intervene during the 2009 CES in Las Vegas.

The company Palm Inc., Having dominated the market for PDAs and smartphones for the first time, is now facing a severe competition from players such as Research in Motion, or more recently, Apple and its iPhone.

For several quarters that the results are in the red, against a backdrop of restructuring and preparing a new mobile strategy. In it lies the preparation of a new mobile operating system which should enable it to have greater flexibility in the design and choice of features of its terminals.

After the first photo of the Palm Treo 800/850 which is published on the web last week, here is a second photograph of the machine which looks closer to a final version. Apparently the device has a 400Mhz processor and 100MB of RAM. You can also see a photo comparison with a Blackberry 8800.

The publisher MetaViewSoft has released version 1.0 of their application 2Cool4U for Palm OS. As its name not indicated, 2Cool4U is a contact manager optimized for touch screens (which said iPhone?).
